How It Works

While foreign currency markets are often daunting and uncharted territory of many companies, FC Exchange is on hand to ensure your business’ currency exchange processes are as clear, straightforward and efficient as possible whilst saving you time and money.

1. Register with us

It takes just a few minutes to register and open an account with us, which is free to do, and won’t obligate your company to trade with FC Exchange. We’ll then be on hand to advise the best currency transfer products to suit your specific requirements and secure the best exchange rates. 

Once we’ve received your registration form, we’re required by law to obtain confirmation of your identity if resident in the UK, along with conduct an anti-money laundering verification search. If, after the search, you fall below the accepted benchmark, or you reside outside of the UK, we’ll ask you to provide documentation as evidence of identity and proof of address.  

2. Get an Exceptional Exchange Rate

Your FC Exchange currency broker will assist your throughout the entire buying process, answering any questions you may have regarding the market, exchange rates, and when it’s best to purchase your foreign currency. Once your broker has confirmed the exchange rate with you, you’ll simply need to instruct them when to purchase the currency on the live market, in consultation with you, to ensure you’re getting the best possible rate. 

You’ll then receive a contract note confirming the amount and rate of your purchased currency, along with the destination of the funds. You can also transfer funds to us, prior to trading, for execution when the exchange rate is at its most favourable.

3. We send your currency

As soon as we have received your cleared funds, we will transfer your currency to the stipulated destination by priority international transfer. You will also receive a payment confirmation supplied by our principal bankers at Lloyds TSB.
